Life is short, let’s make it sweet. Sweetology is our vibe at Pacific Rim and what we do best - our wines span the spectrum of residual sugar from dry to dessert sweet.
Crisp and fresh aromas of saline, lavender and chilled Asian pear slices are a nice start. Meyer lemon and grapefruit flavors are seasoned with spicy clove and ginger notes and a touch of pine needles. More acidity would be welcome, but overall an enjoyable wine.
The wine's primary aroma of pineapples and wet rocks is joined by a trace of something smoky, like a roaring campfire at the beach. Peaches and lemon-lime soda pop flavors are tempered by a bit of orange zest. This off-dry Riesling is need of a bit more acidity.
Pacific Rim Classics2022 Pacific Rim Sweet Riesling
This is indeed a sweet wine. The wine also has plenty of acidity, so it has that going for it. Aromas of lemon tarts and 7-Up are a canary in the residual sugar coal mine. Flavors like lemon drop hard candies and a peach margarita continue the theme. The wine is sweet without hitting cloying territory.
The aromas provide plenty of appeal, with notes lime leaf, herb, peach and jasmine. Off-dry-drinking stone-fruit flavors follow. There's pleasing acidity throughout.

Pacific Rim Classics2012 Pacific Rim Vin de Glaciere Riesling - Organic Grapes
Sweet, polished, focused and expressive, playing the grapefruit, pear and spice flavors against bracing acidity. This avoids being cloying, and persists harmoniously. Delicious now, but should deepen with cellaring. Drink now through 2025.— H.S. (5 March 2015)
Penetrating aromas suggest lemon oil and citrus blossom, with a hint of terpene. This is the driest version of this wine to date, with residual sugar down around 0.5%. Pear skin, pear flesh and citrus carry it through a lengthy finish. May 2014
BEST BUY ~ The sweetness gauge on the back label indicates this as medium dry, and at 3.2% residual sugar, there is more than a hint of sweetness. It’s all in fine balance, full flavored, fruity and round. A mix of peaches, apricots and Mandarin oranges makes this an interesting Riesling with some complexity. — […]
